01 February 2024

As the latest "Ferrari" film has recently graced the silver screen, this seemed like an opportune moment for us to journey back through cinematic history and reminisce the lasting collaboration between the iconic prancing horse amongst the realms of both film and television.

Ferrari's presence in movies dates back to the golden age of Hollywood. The 1986 classic "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" featured the iconic Ferrari 250 GT California. The gleaming red convertible effortlessly blended with the film's sense of rebellion and adventure, cementing Ferrari's status as a symbol of desire.

No film franchise exudes sophistication quite like James Bond, and Ferrari found its way into the 007 universe. "GoldenEye" (1995) featured the sleek Ferrari F355 GTS racing through the French Riviera in a high-stakes chase. The scene not only showcased the car's speed but also further reinforced Ferrari's association with both glamour and thrill.

Ferraris haven't been limited to the big screen; they have also made significant appearances on the small screen. In the popular TV series "Magnum, P.I.’’, Thomas Magnum, drove a Ferrari 308 GTS, elevating the car to pop culture status. The combination of a Hawaiian backdrop and the sleek Ferrari made it an unforgettable television pairing.

The "Fast and Furious" franchise, known for its action sequences, added another layer of excitement with the inclusion of Ferraris. From the Ferrari F355 Spider to the stunning 488 GTB, Ferrari has become integral to the franchise's commitment to pushing the boundaries of speed and spectacle.

More recent films, such as "The Wolf of Wall Street" (2013), featured the Ferrari Testarossa with its cutting-edge design and superior performance, the vehicle symbolised success in the world of high-stake finance portrayed throughout the film.

Ferrari's venture into the world of television and film has been nothing short of iconic. As Ferrari continue to ignite the silver screen with beauty and performance, it is evident that the prancing horse remains an enduring star in the world of entertainment.
